Six young people reported over attack on disabled man near Pavia

A 33-year-old man with a disability was attacked in Belgioioso, near Pavia, on the night of September 12.

Police say six young people, aged 16 to 21, targeted him for reasons they considered trivial and hit him during three separate incidents that evening.

The group allegedly filmed the violence on their phones and shared the videos on social media.

The man suffered physical injuries and psychological trauma, and is now receiving specialist care in a therapeutic community.

Carabinieri in Belgioioso have reported the six to prosecutors; one of them is 16.

The allegations include aggravated assault, failing to help the man, and offences linked to sharing the videos and cyberbullying rules.

Investigators are still working to establish each person's role.
