Super Woden: Rally Edge has one of 2026’s standout game soundtracks
Super Woden: Rally Edge is an indie rally racing game developed by one person in Spain.
Its soundtrack caught the attention of a video game critic, who calls it the best game soundtrack of 2026 so far.
The music mixes electronic dance music, metal, hip-hop and jazz-funk.
It uses synthetic, MIDI-style sounds that suit the game’s retro, low-poly look.
The critic says this energetic, arcade-inspired style is less common than cinematic orchestral game music.
The soundtrack is available separately on Steam and can also be found on YouTube.
Polygon’s Oli Welsh praised the soundtrack to the indie racing game Super Woden: Rally Edge.
He described its music as high-energy and retro, combining EDM, metal, hip-hop and jazz-funk.
The music uses a synthetic MIDI sound that Welsh said fits the game’s low-poly graphics.
The soundtrack is split between contributions by two artists, with DJ DeVito providing techno, Eurodance, electro and happy hardcore.
The soundtrack is available separately on Steam and can also be found on YouTube.

This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
It's mostly high-energy stuff, as befits a game about sending toylike cars hurtling and powersliding along two-minute rally stages.
It's also quite retro, as befits a game with a kind of cel-shaded PS1 aesthetic.
This story does not have a timeline yet.
