Japan faces ransomware attacks affecting at least 53 companies

Japan is dealing with ransomware attacks on at least 53 companies.

The attacks have affected businesses and institutions including manufacturers, hospitals and schools.

Two companies said more than 6 million customer records may have been exposed.

The attacks have also raised concerns about stolen identity documents and the safety of opening bank accounts.
