Gündogan rules out leaving Galatasaray in winter

Ilkay Gündogan, 35, says he does not plan to leave Galatasaray during the winter transfer window.

The former Germany captain joined the Istanbul club from Manchester City in summer 2025.

He played 38 matches and helped Galatasaray win the league title in his first season there.

This season, he has played just 11 minutes and has often been left on the bench.

After sitting out a league match against Kasımpaşa, he expressed frustration about not playing.

Gündogan says he wants to stay beyond the winter and help Galatasaray win another title.

His contract runs until summer 2027.
