Porsche deliveries fall 16% as China sales drop and 911 grows
Porsche delivered 178,532 vehicles worldwide from January through September 2026, 16% fewer than in the same period last year.
The German luxury carmaker saw its steepest regional decline in China, where deliveries fell 33% to 21,493.
Deliveries also dropped in North America and Europe.
Porsche says tough market conditions and the end of production for some models contributed to the fall.
The 911 went against the overall trend, with deliveries up 12% to 42,217, supported by demand for high-performance versions.
The Cayenne remained Porsche’s most-delivered model, although its deliveries slipped 2%.
Porsche says it is focusing in China on the brand’s long-term position rather than raising short-term sales volumes; no further sales forecast is given.
Porsche delivered 178,532 vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of 2026, down 16% from 212,509 in the same period a year earlier.
Deliveries in China fell 33% to 21,493, the steepest decline among the markets detailed in the reports.
North American deliveries fell 13% to 56,088, while deliveries in Germany and the rest of Europe fell 7% and 11%, respectively.
The Porsche 911 bucked the overall decline: one report said deliveries rose 12% to 42,217, while the other reported an 11% increase for its two-door versions.
Porsche attributed the broader decline to challenging market conditions as well as discontinued models and changes in its product range.
