iTech expands gold intercept at Sabre ahead of deeper drilling
iTech Minerals reported wider gold intercepts at the Sabre prospect in its Reynolds Range project in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Final test results expanded one interval to 29 metres grading 2.36 grams of gold per tonne, from an earlier estimate of 21 metres at 2.04 grams per tonne.
Sabre has two identified gold shoots, with the second about 120 metres south of the main one.
The company thinks both may lie along the same underground structure, but the ground between them has not been fully tested below 120 metres deep.
Sabre has no established mineral resource, so more drilling is needed to determine how far the gold extends and whether the shoots connect.
iTech plans diamond drilling from mid-November to test deeper targets, including the main shoot at depths of 300 to 400 metres, as well as the second shoot and the ground between them.
The results could help show whether Sabre contains a larger, continuous gold system.
iTech Minerals expanded the reported gold intercept at Shoot 2 of the Sabre prospect in the Northern Territory to 29 metres at 2.36 grams per tonne from 81 metres.
The company said ground between Sabre’s two main gold shoots remains largely untested below 120 metres.
Diamond drilling is planned from mid-November to test deeper extensions, including targets between the shoots.
iTech interprets the shoots as higher-grade zones along one mineralised shear zone, but their connection has not been established.
The company has not established a mineral resource estimate for Sabre, and further drilling is needed to assess the mineralisation.
- Who
- iTech Minerals, whose managing director is Mike Schwarz.
- What
- Final assays expanded the reported Shoot 2 intercept to 29 metres at 2.36 grams per tonne gold. The company plans deeper diamond drilling.
- When
- The article was published on 13 October 2026; diamond drilling is planned from mid-November.
- Where
- Sabre prospect, within the Reynolds Range project in the Northern Territory, north-northwest of Alice Springs.
- Why
- iTech aims to test deeper mineralisation, assess whether the shoots connect, and determine the extent and continuity of the gold system.
This story does not have two clearly opposing sides.
iTech had reported an intercept of 21 metres at 2.04 grams per tonne in Shoot 2.
Stockhead reported final assays expanding the Shoot 2 intercept to 29 metres at 2.36 grams per tonne.
iTech planned to begin diamond drilling, initially targeting Shoot 1 between 300 and 400 metres below surface.
- Expanded Shoot 2 intercept
- 29m at 2.36g/t gold from 81m
- Deeper Shoot 2 result
- 10m at 2.17g/t gold from 162m
- Sabre location
- Reynolds Range project, Northern Territory
- Reynolds Range tenure
- 791km²
- Planned drilling start
- Mid-November
What people are saying
What is particularly exciting is that we believe both shoots are part of the same mineralised shear zone, yet the ground between them remains largely untested below 120 metres.
This presents a significant opportunity to extend the mineralisation at depth, establish continuity between the two shoots and potentially build a much larger gold system at Sabre.
