Effigies of Trump and Netanyahu burned at pro-Palestinian march in Turin

Participants at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Turin, Italy, burned cardboard effigies of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The act took place at the end of the march.

Before setting the effigies on fire, participants threw rotten tomatoes at them and then kicked and punched them.

A speaker said the two leaders were war criminals and called for them to be tried, while protesters shouted for the effigies to be burned.

The demonstration expressed opposition to Israel’s actions and wider political systems, according to the slogans reported at the event.

The march ended in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
