Beau Bridges’ 1993 Western comedy ‘Harts of the West’ is streaming free

Beau Bridges starred in the 1993 comedy Western series “Harts of the West,” now available to stream for free on Tubi and Pluto TV.

He played Dave Hart, a Chicago lingerie salesman who moves his wife and three children to a Nevada town to run a dude ranch.

The ranch is in poor shape, and his family is unhappy about the move, but they gradually adjust.

Beau’s father, Lloyd Bridges, played the ranch foreman, and Stephen Root played the town sheriff.

The series premiered on CBS alongside “Dr.

Quinn, Medicine Woman” and “Walker, Texas Ranger,” and all three shows won their time slots in their first week.

“Harts of the West” later ranked 20th in the ratings, but its viewership fell after the premiere.

CBS canceled it midway through its first season, and the final four filmed episodes were broadcast in June 1994.

Viewers can now watch the series free on Tubi and Pluto TV.
