Emails point to shared bank account involving Flávio Bolsonaro and Willer Tomaz

Emails obtained by Brazil’s Federal Police indicate that Senator Flávio Bolsonaro and lawyer and businessman Willer Tomaz shared a Santander bank account.

The account was linked to Alcazar Holdings, a company based in Portugal’s Madeira Island in which Tomaz is a partner.

In May 2025, a Tomaz employee asked the bank to remove Bolsonaro from the account.

Bolsonaro is a presidential candidate, and both he and Tomaz deny sharing an account or having a financial relationship.

Tomaz was targeted in Operation Sem Desconto, which investigates suspected money laundering connected to fraud involving Brazil’s social security agency, the INSS.

The emails raise questions about possible financial ties between a political candidate and a person under investigation, but do not establish wrongdoing by Bolsonaro.

Tomaz’s representatives say the information is false and politically motivated, and say the Federal Police opened an investigation into the leak of protected information.
