CM Revanth Reddy Directs Water Plan for Hyderabad
The Chief Minister of Hyderabad, A Revanth Reddy, has asked officials to create a big plan for drinking water supply in the city and its surrounding areas.
This plan should make sure everyone gets water regularly and should work for the next 50 years.
Right now, some areas only get water every few days, which is not good.
The Chief Minister wants this to change quickly.
He also wants all current water projects to be finished in one and a half years.
He asked officials to check on the progress every month and to use a special board to keep track of everything.
He also wants industries and builders to use grey water more often.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed officials to prepare a 50-year drinking water supply master plan for Hyderabad and its urban region.
The plan aims to ensure uniform water supply across the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE).
Officials were instructed to explore interconnecting water sources to ensure alternative supply in case of disruptions.
Current water supply issues in some GHMC areas, where water is provided once every 3-4 days, need immediate attention.
All ongoing drinking water supply projects must be completed within one-and-a-half years.
