A new report placed it 21st among the world’s top 30 container ports.

It was ranked 28th in 2025, so it moved up seven places.

The port handled 13.6% more containers than during the first half of 2025.

This happened while global trade faced disruptions linked in the article to the US-Iran conflict.

JNPA said it took steps to keep cargo moving.

The port has five container terminals and other cargo facilities.

It is also developing a new deep-water port called Vadhvan Port.
