Young Swimmers Shine at CISCE Zonal Meet Hosted by St. Joan's School
Kids who are good at swimming and diving got together for a big competition!
Many schools sent their best young athletes to swim and dive in different races.
Some swimmers won lots of medals and became champions in their age groups.
One girl even started swimming because she was scared of water and now wants to do it for a job!
Another swimmer became a champion even though she recently switched from diving.
At the end, two schools, La Martiniere for Boys and La Martiniere for Girls, were named the best overall.
It was an exciting event that celebrated the hard work and talent of these young athletes.
The CISCE Zonal Swimming and Diving Competition 2025 for ICSE-affiliated Zone G schools took place at the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation pool.
The event featured 175 swimmers from 30 schools competing in 106 events across under-14, under-17, and under-19 age groups for boys and girls.
St. Joan's School hosted the competition, with individual champions including Aarini Bhattacharya (U-14), Tanisha Mondal (U-19), Yuvraj Bansal, and Rajveer Agarwal.
Soumyasree Das of the host school won a bronze medal in diving, while Tanisha Mondal secured gold in all three of her swimming events.
La Martiniere for Boys and La Martiniere for Girls were jointly declared the school champions of the three-day meet.
