Tamil Nadu is a state in India, and its new government wants more companies to build things there.

It held a big meeting called the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave in Chennai.

At the meeting, 97 companies promised to spend more than Rs 67,452 crore in the state.

That is a very large amount of money.

The companies will build factories for electric vehicles, solar power, tyres, rockets, watches, and robots.

Since the new government started in May, companies have promised around Rs 1 lakh crore in total.

The government also promised to approve licences within 21 days.
