Hoshiarpur Court Sentences Uttar Pradesh Labourer to Death
A court in Hoshiarpur sentenced a man to death for a serious crime against a five-year-old boy.
The man is Nanke Yadav, a 33-year-old labourer from Uttar Pradesh.
The court said he sexually assaulted and killed the child in September last year.
The judge called the case one of the “rarest of rare.”
The death sentence was given under a section of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The court also gave him several other prison sentences under Indian criminal law and the POCSO Act.
These prison sentences will be served at the same time.
