Andhra Pradesh launches 58 firefighting vehicles worth Rs 40 crore

The government of Andhra Pradesh, a state in India, is making its firefighting team stronger.

Its leader, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, launched 58 new fire trucks and other vehicles on Friday.

These vehicles cost about 40 crore rupees together.

Some of the new trucks are advanced firefighting vehicles that help firefighters reach fires and accidents quickly, especially in villages and forests.

There are also 20 water bowsers, and each one can carry 14,000 litres of water to help fight big fires.

Thirteen smaller quick-response vehicles will help in narrow and crowded places.

The government is buying firefighting equipment in phases and will spend about 252.86 crore rupees in total.

It is also building 17 new fire station buildings and upgrading 36 older ones.

All of this will help people get help faster when there is a fire or another emergency.
