Kiren Rijiju: 12 Bills Passed, But Discussion Quality Unsatisfactory

In India, a group of leaders called Parliament makes rules for the country.

These rules are called bills, and when they are passed, they can become laws.

During one session, 12 bills were passed.

But a leader named Mr. Kiren Rijiju said he was not happy.

He felt that another group, called the opposition, did not want to talk about the bills.

Talking and discussing helps everyone make sure the rules are fair.

Mr. Rijiju said the opposition made excuses to avoid talking and would not even listen to the minister's reply.

He said this was not healthy for democracy.

Democracy means everyone gets a chance to speak and share their ideas.

Mr. Rijiju hopes leaders will discuss things properly next time.
