TiE Mangaluru to Lead Karnataka’s First K-Combinator Accelerator
TiE Mangaluru is starting a new programme to help promising startups in coastal Karnataka.
The programme is called K-Combinator.
It will help businesses that have already tested their idea or first product.
Each group of startups will receive support for 16 weeks.
They will attend boot camps, classes, mentoring sessions, and investor meetings.
Three groups are expected to be supported each year.
The programme has ₹9.26 crore approved for five years in the region.
Two successful startups from each group may receive ₹10 lakh without giving up ownership.
TiE Mangaluru will host and drive Karnataka’s first K-Combinator initiative.
The programme will support startups from Udupi-Mangaluru and wider coastal Karnataka.
Each 16-week cohort will select four to six startups, with three cohorts planned annually.
The coastal Karnataka initiative has an approved ₹9.26-crore grant outlay over five years.
Two startups per cohort may receive ₹10 lakh grants linked to performance, with zero equity.
