Telugu States Prepare for Grand Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations will begin on Monday in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad’s famous Khairatabad idol is being finished before its main prayer ceremony.

Gajuwaka near Visakhapatnam will display a very tall, 117-foot idol.
Vijayawada and Machilipatnam will also have large Ganesha idols.
Temples will conduct special prayers and religious rituals.
Organisers will also hold cultural events and serve free meals to visitors.
Ganesh Chaturthi festivities begin Monday across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with celebrations planned for about two weeks.
Hyderabad’s Khairatabad Ganesh pandal is completing final work before its formal puja, which will be attended by Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.
Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam will host a 117-foot idol made with about 400 bamboo poles and special mud from Anakapalli.
Vijayawada will feature a 72-foot Chamukha Varasiddhi Maha Ganapathi, while Machilipatnam will host a 63-foot idol at Manginapudi beach.
Temples and pandals will hold rituals, cultural and devotional programmes, communal events, and free-meal services for devotees.
