Azharuddin Urges Preserving Telangana's Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb For Unity
Every year, people in Telangana in India celebrate a special festival called Urs.
The festival honors a kind and peaceful man named Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani, who lived long ago and taught people to live together happily.
A famous minister named Mohammad Azharuddin went to the festival as the main guest.
He told everyone to keep a beautiful tradition called Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, which means people of different religions living together in peace.
Many other leaders and lots of people joined the celebration.
There were special ceremonies, including the Sandal ceremony and the lighting of lamps called Mehfil-e-Chiragan.

Mohammad Azharuddin, Telangana's Minister for Minorities Welfare, called for preserving the state's Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb tradition of peace, brotherhood and communal harmony.
He was the chief guest at the annual Urs-e-Mubarak of Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani (R.A.) at Dargah Shareef, Kazipet, Hanamkonda district.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, the local MLA, officials, scholars and devotees attended the spiritual programme.
The Urs included a Sandal ceremony on Monday followed by Mehfil-e-Chiragan and Mehfil-e-Badawa, drawing devotees from Telangana and across the country.
Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani (1795–1856 A.D.), the Qazi of Warangal under Nizam Ali Khan (Asaf Jah II), remains remembered for his message of peace and brotherhood.
