Eknath Shinde Inaugurates Thane Photo Exhibition, Praises Photojournalism
A big leader in Maharashtra named Eknath Shinde opened a special photo show in the city of Thane.
The show is called a photo exhibition, and it celebrates World Photography Day.
Photographers took many pictures showing how Thane has changed over the years.
Mr. Shinde said photographers are very important because their pictures tell true stories.
He said one photo can say more than many words.
He also remembered how photographers helped during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai by capturing a picture of a bad person named Ajmal Kasab.
The exhibition is at the Thane Municipal Corporation building and is open until August 19.
Mr. Shinde wants next year's show to be about 'Changing Thane.'
He hopes photographers will show both the good and the not-so-good parts of the city.
That way, leaders can learn what needs to be fixed.
