MP Teachers' E-Attendance After 10:45 AM Now Invalid
Teachers in a state called Madhya Pradesh use a computer system to show they have arrived at work.
This is called e-attendance.
The education department told them they must mark their attendance between 9:45 and 10:45 in the morning.
If a teacher marks it after 10:45, it will not count as valid.
That teacher will also have to explain why they were late.
Before, teachers had until 10:30 to mark their attendance.
Teachers complained about the earlier rule, so the time was made a little later.
The department did not write a formal order about the change, but the new time shows on the portal.
The department also wants officials to find schools that have no network connection.
In those schools, guest teachers could not get paid or rejoin for the new school year.
The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Madhya Pradesh has ruled that teachers' e-attendance marked after 10:45 am will not be considered valid.
Employees must mark their attendance between 9:45 am and 10:45 am through the e-attendance system.
Those marking attendance after 10:45 am must provide a reason for reporting late.
The deadline was relaxed from 10:30 am following protests by teachers, though no formal order was issued and the change only reflects on the portal.
DPI has directed District Education Officers (DEOs) to identify network-less schools where guest teachers could not process honorarium or complete rejoining for the 2025-26 session.
