Adani Ports Leads Sensex Decliners as HDFC Bank Falls

Several large Indian companies had a difficult day in the stock market.

Adani Ports fell the most among the 30 companies in the Sensex.

Its shares dropped 4.11%.

HDFC Bank also lost 1.53%.

The bank’s CEO and Managing Director, Sashidhar Jagdishan, said he would seek another appointment after his current term ends.

Other companies, including ITC and Infosys, also fell.

Some companies, such as Sun Pharma and ICICI Bank, gained instead.
