Officials Set Two-Month Deadline for Raptadu Water Projects
Officials checked how much work has been completed on village drinking-water projects.
The projects cover Atmakuru, Anantapur Rural and Raptadu mandals.
Two companies are building pipelines, tanks, filters and pumping systems.
Much of the work is still unfinished.
The officials said the remaining work must be completed within two months.
The goal is to provide water to 30 villages.
They ordered new sand filters and faster purchase of pumps.
They also asked for quicker approvals and the handover of land needed for construction.
The review was held because villages are facing water stress.

Sai Pavani’s Anantapur Rural project is valued at Rs 40 crore, with Rs 18 crore executed.
Saraswati Company has executed Rs 38 crore of its Rs 50.43-crore Atmakur project.
Pending works include pipelines, filters, pumps, tanks, a canal bridge and land-related arrangements.
