Suvendu Adhikari Unveils Cooch Behar Religious Tourism Development Plan

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited Cooch Behar for administrative meetings.

He said the area would be developed as an important religious tourism destination.

He visited the old Madanmohan Temple during the trip.

The government plans to add more places for visitors to stay.

Adhikari also promised to reopen closed tea gardens and provide workers with a 20 percent bonus.

In nearby Jalpaiguri, he opened a bridge over the Murti River.

He said two more bridges are being built and another damaged bridge would be reconstructed.

A Union minister is expected to discuss improving Cooch Behar airport on September 28.
