Nizamabad Couple Die by Suicide in Separate Rooms Over Debt
A couple lived in a town called Nizamabad in India.
The husband's name was Naresh and his wife's name was Meghana.
They had been married for about ten years and had children.
Naresh bought a new house by borrowing a lot of money.
He tried to get a bank loan to pay back the money, but the bank said no.
He then tried to sell the house to pay his debts, but some debts were still left.
This made him very worried and sad.
On Tuesday, the husband and wife both sadly ended their lives in different rooms of their house.
Naresh left a note asking his family to take care of the children and not to be angry with them.
The police are now looking into what happened.
Naresh (35) and Meghana (30), married for around 10 years, died by suicide in separate rooms of their Nizamabad home on the same day.
Naresh worked as an attender in the electricity department and had been promoted to Junior Assistant about six months ago, posted at the Nizamabad Rural Electricity Revenue Office (ERO).
He had purchased a house for around Rs 90 lakh last year with borrowed money and was unable to get a bank loan to repay the debts.
After deciding to sell the property, he paid off some debts but others remained pending, leaving him distressed over his financial liabilities.
Naresh died by hanging from the ceiling and left a note urging family to care for the children and not blame them, while Meghana died after consuming a poisonous substance; police have registered a case.
