Chittoor Cyber Cell Recovers Rs 2.22 Lakh Fraud Loss
A man received a message saying his tractor had a Rs 1,000 fine.
He opened a link in the message and installed a fake mParivahan app.
After that, Rs 2,22,054 was taken from his credit card without permission.
The man quickly contacted his bank and the cybercrime helpline.
Chittoor Cyber Cell police then worked to block the transactions.
They recovered all the money in two days.
Police said people should report online fraud immediately.
They also warned people not to open unknown links or install suspicious apps.
