Janhvi Kapoor Signs New Film After Peddi Controversy

Janhvi Kapoor, an actress, has signed a new film with director Umesh Bist.

This comes after her role in the Telugu film Peddi caused controversy because some people thought her character was objectified.

The new film is being produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment.

Filming is expected to start in October or November 2026.

Janhvi also has another film, Lag Ja Gale, coming up.

Umesh Bist is also working on Pagglait 2, a sequel to a popular Netflix film.

The details about the new film's story and cast are not yet known.
