Small, Mid-Cap Funds Top SIP Wealth Creation
Over the past ten years, small-cap and mid-cap mutual funds in India have given investors the highest returns on their systematic investment plans (SIPs).
Small-cap funds, which invest in smaller companies, had an average return of nearly 23%, with the best one giving almost 26%.
Mid-cap funds, which invest in medium-sized companies, had an average return of about 21%.
Other types of funds, like flexi-cap and multi-cap, also did well but not as much.
Large-cap funds, which invest in big companies, had the lowest returns.
Experts say that while these smaller funds can give big returns, they can also be risky and go up and down a lot in value.
So, investors should think about their own risk tolerance before choosing where to put their money.
Small-cap funds delivered the highest average 10-year SIP returns at nearly 23%, with Quant Small Cap Fund leading at 25.95%.
Mid-cap funds ranked second with an average 10-year SIP return of around 21%, led by Invesco India Mid Cap Fund at 22.13%.
Flexi-cap and multi-cap funds averaged around 18% in 10-year SIP returns, with Quant Flexi Cap Fund and Quant Multi Cap Fund topping their categories.
