Free Wi-Fi Leads Police to Missing Polytechnic Student in AP

A teenage girl in India named Harika ran away from home because she was upset about her grades.

She didn't want her parents or the police to find her, so she took the SIM card out of her phone and traveled to different cities.

To stay in touch with the internet without being easily tracked, she used free Wi-Fi available at train stations and other public places.

Even though she tried to hide, the police were able to track her by looking at the information she used to log into the free Wi-Fi.

They found her in a city called Rajahmundry.

When they found her, she didn't want to go home, but the police talked to her and brought her back to her parents safely.

The police praised their technical team for using technology to find her and advised parents to talk to their children.
