Beed Police Invoke ‘Mini-MCOCA’ Against Armed Burglary Gang
Beed Police are investigating a group accused of stealing from homes and committing other armed crimes.
The case began after a house in Yelambghat was burgled on July 5.
Police say gold, silver and cash worth more than ₹6.12 lakh were stolen.
They later connected the incident to a six-person gang.
Four people have been arrested.

Beed Police invoked Section 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, known as “Mini-MCOCA,” against a gang accused of armed burglaries and dacoities.
The investigation began after a July 5 burglary in Yelambghat, where property worth more than ₹6.12 lakh was reportedly stolen.
Police arrested four suspects from Dharashiv district and recovered ₹32,000 in cash during police custody.
Investigators allege the six-member gang was linked to at least eight serious armed offenses across Beed and neighboring districts.
Two alleged gang members remain absconding, while the action was sanctioned by Beed Superintendent of Police Navneet Kanwat.
