Court Orders Malla Reddy College to Return Student Certificates
A student named E. Charan Tej finished his engineering degree but the college kept his certificates because he owed money.
The Telangana High Court said the college can’t hold the certificates.
The court told the college to give them back in a week.
The student can now apply for a master’s program.
The college must instead sue for the money, not keep the papers.

The case involved E. Charan Tej, who claimed the college withheld his documents pending Rs 3.09 lakh tuition payment.
The court emphasized that students own their certificates and institutions must pursue dues through legal action, not by withholding documents.
The college did not appear in court despite notice.
