India wins five medals at World Archery Para Series
India won five medals at a para-archery competition in Ahmedabad.
The medals included two gold, two silver and one bronze.
Toman Kumar and Shyam Sundar Swami won gold in the men’s compound team event.
Harvinder Singh and Vijay Sundi won another gold in the men’s recurve team event.
Bhawna and Pooja earned silver in the women’s recurve team event.
Swati Chaudhary and Adil Mohamed Nazir Ansari won silver in the mixed W1 team event.
Swati also won bronze in the individual W1 event.
W1 archers use wheelchairs and may use either a recurve or compound bow.

Harvinder Singh and Vijay Sundi won men’s recurve team gold after beating Slovakia 6-2.
Bhawna and Pooja won women’s recurve team silver, while Swati Chaudhary and Adil Mohamed Nazir Ansari took silver in Mixed Team W1.
Swati Chaudhary also won an individual W1 bronze, defeating Russia’s Elena Krutova 6-2.
