Optimystix Entertainment IPO subscribed 34% on day one
There is a company in India called Optimystix that makes TV shows and movies.
You might know shows like Baalveer and movies like OMG 2 that they helped make.
The company wants to raise more money so it can keep making shows.
To do this, it is selling small pieces of itself to people.
This is called an IPO, and the sale started on Friday, August 7.
People can buy the pieces, called shares, for between 166 and 175 rupees each.
On the very first day, about one-third of the shares were sold.
Investors seem a little interested, but not too excited.
The company will use the money for making content and running its daily business.
Its shares will begin trading on a stock exchange on August 14.
Optimystix Entertainment's IPO opened on Friday, 7 August 2026, with a price band of ₹166-175 per share and a lot size of 800 shares.
Day 1 subscription stood at 34%, with the QIB portion at 65%, retail at 29%, and the NII portion at 3%.
The grey market premium (GMP) is ₹5, implying an estimated listing price of about ₹180, roughly 2.86% above the upper price band.
The issue combines a fresh issue of 50 lakh shares worth ₹87.5 crore and an offer for sale of 12 lakh shares worth ₹21 crore, totalling ₹108.5 crore.
The company plans to use ₹55.88 crore of the proceeds for working capital; allotment is set for 12 August and BSE SME listing for 14 August.
Optimystix reported FY26 total income of ₹135.89 crore, up 9%, and profit after tax of ₹24.04 crore, up 39% year-on-year.
