Vamsi taught students not to go near or hurt snakes.

A snakebite awareness programme was held for degree students at Government Science Degree College in Nagarkurnool on Saturday.
Assistant Professor Dr Priyanka urged people to seek immediate treatment at the nearest government hospital after a snakebite.
She warned that panic, treatment delays, faith healers and superstitious practices can increase the risk of death.
Snake catcher Vamsi advised people to keep their distance from snakes and contact trained rescuers instead of harming them.
The programme also highlighted snakes’ role in controlling rats and other crop-damaging animals.
