The girl later contacted her mother, who took her to the police station.
Police said a 16-year-old girl was repeatedly raped and impregnated by her 38-year-old father from 2023.
Her father allegedly forced her to take abortion pills during an earlier pregnancy, causing a miscarriage.
A nurse allegedly used a fake Aadhaar card and other forged documents to present her as an adult and married.
The girl delivered a baby boy by surgical procedure at a private hospital in Raipur’s Dangania area.
Police said eight people, including the father, aunt and nurses, were arrested after the newborn was allegedly sold.
