Minor girl sexually assaulted, accused arrested in Warangal
Something very serious happened in the city of Warangal, and the police had to step in.
A 38-year-old man named Sangala Vijay Kumar is accused of hurting a young girl many times over many months.
The girl lived in a hostel, which is a home where students stay while they study.
About a year ago, the man bought her snacks, took her on his motorcycle to his room, and harmed her.
He also scared her by saying he would hurt her family if she ever told anyone.
Later, the girl got sick with stomach pain, and when her mother asked questions, the truth came out.
Doctors found out the girl was pregnant, which showed that she had been hurt.
The police listened to the girl's story in a caring way and did medical tests to find out what happened.
They caught the man when he tried to run away, and he admitted to what he did.
A judge has now sent him to jail for 15 days while everything is looked into.
Matwada police arrested Sangala Vijay Kumar (38) for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl and impregnating her.
In June last year, the accused allegedly took the girl from her hostel on a bike to his room and threatened to kill her family if she told anyone.
The girl was taken out of the hostel multiple times and continued to be assaulted; the abuse came to light when she fell ill with abdominal pain.
A medical examination confirmed her pregnancy, and police registered a case based on the mother's complaint.
Vijay Kumar was caught while trying to flee during vehicle checks, reportedly confessed, and was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.
