Jadavpur University is investigating clashes that happened on campus on August 19 and 20.

The clashes involved the Students Federation of India and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

The university has changed the investigation team by adding another retired judge.

Retired Justice Pranab Kumar Chatterjee remains the team’s leader.

Former district and sessions judge Samaresh Prasad Chowdhury is the new member.

Soumendu Chattopadhyay is the third committee member.

Other university officials will help with presentations and administration.

The acting vice-chancellor also asked students to be careful about writing on university walls.

He said students can express their views but should protect the campus’s cleanliness and dignity.
