Top Trump Advisor Caine Pushes Iran War Off-Ramp, Reports Say

President Trump and his team were thinking about attacking Iran.

But before they did, some friendly countries in the Middle East warned that Iran might hit back.

Iran could attack the power and energy buildings of those friendly countries.

So President Trump decided not to do the attack for now.

One of his top helpers, General Dan Caine, wants to find a peaceful way out of a fight with Iran.

The president hasn't said he will never attack, though.

There is also a worry that the United States is running low on some very important weapons.

That makes it harder to defend against Iran if Iran fights back.

So for now, the attack is on hold.
