Odisha flood situation grim, over 2.7 lakh affected
Odisha is a big state in India where lots of rain has made rivers overflow.
The overflowing water has flooded many villages and towns.

Water levels in some major rivers have started receding, but low-pressure-induced incessant rainfall continues to batter parts of the state.
About 118 response teams, including 36 ODRAF, 7 NDRF, 35 Fire and Emergency Services and 40 police/civil defence teams, have been deployed.
A total of 62 medical teams and 31 veterinary teams are deployed, with 357.2 MT of cattle feed supplied and 51 animals treated or vaccinated.
