KDMC Demolishes Unauthorised Nilje Market, Files Case Against Landowner

The operation was conducted by KDMC’s headquarters hawker control squad and E-Ward team on September 7, 2026.
Officials said vendors and landowner Raja Patil resisted the action and allegedly obstructed and manhandled civic employees.
KDMC officials also alleged that an attempt was made to drive a vehicle toward municipal personnel.
Police brought the situation under control, while a case was filed against Raja Patil and KDMC said further enforcement would continue.
