PAU Reaffirms Leadership in 2025 Rankings
In 2025, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) in Ludhiana showed it is one of the best agricultural universities in India and the world.
It got the top spot in India's NIRF rankings for state agricultural universities and was ranked 93rd globally.
The university also got an award for its teaching methods.
The Punjab Government gave PAU money to build new things like a processing complex and a plant facility.

The university received a Rs 20-crore capital grant from the Punjab Government for infrastructure expansion.
PAU developed new technologies, including a portable maize dryer and a magnetic field-assisted freezing process for horticultural produce.
The university released 20 new crop varieties and hybrids and strengthened its global footprint through collaborations and honorary professorships.
