Andhra Pradesh Eases Service Rules for Contract Health Staff
The Andhra Pradesh government changed some rules to help contract workers in government health facilities.
Radiographers who work for 11 months can take 30 special leave days.
These days will not be taken from their normal leave.
Nurses and other health workers involved in surgeries can receive incentive payments.
Hospitals must show how surgeries and payments are distributed.
At primary health centres, different support workers will cover day and night duties.
Nurses should share duties so they do not work repeated 12-hour day shifts.
Medical laboratory students can also train at health centres for one month.
Eligible contract radiographers and radiographic technicians will receive 30 days of special leave after every 11 months of service.
Contract paramedical staff involved in surgeries and procedures will receive cadre-wise NTR Vaidya Seva Trust incentives.
Officials must display monthly surgery, participating-staff, and incentive details on notice boards.
PHCs will deploy MNOs and FNOs during the day and Sanitary Attendants/Workers at night.
Nurses’ duties will be rotated, ANMs used more effectively, and eligible medical laboratory students allowed one-month PHC or UPHC training.
