Delhi Traffic Restrictions Announced for BRICS Summit Travel
The BRICS Summit will take place in Delhi from September 11 to 13, 2026.
Many important guests and leaders will travel through the city.
Because of this, police will control traffic on more than 35 roads.
Cars may be diverted when special convoys move through the city.
People going to railway stations or the airport should plan alternate routes and leave early.
Police especially recommends using the Metro to reach the airport.
Buses, taxis and three-wheelers will continue operating but may be diverted.
Emergency vehicles will be allowed to move without obstruction, and people should follow traffic officers' instructions.
Traffic restrictions and diversions will affect more than 35 Delhi roads from September 11 to 13 during the BRICS Summit.
Motorists are advised to avoid controlled roads, including Mathura Road, Janpath, Ashoka Road and Kartavya Path.
Alternate routes have been provided for New Delhi, Old Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations.
Delhi Police recommends using the Metro for airport travel; Metro services will remain available at all stations.
Roadside parking within 200 metres of controlled roads will be prohibited, while emergency vehicles will receive priority passage.
