Community Fridges Launched Across Visakhapatnam to Fight Food Waste
Community Fridges Inaugurated Across Visakhapatnam · deccanchronicle.com

In a city called Visakhapatnam, some grown-ups had a good idea to help people who are hungry.

They put big boxes called community fridges in five different places around the city.

These fridges stay open all day and all night, even while people are sleeping.

If someone has extra food they do not need, they can put it in one of these fridges.

If someone is hungry and needs food, they can take food from the fridge.

This helps stop good food from being thrown away.

A very important leader called a Member of Parliament, whose name is M. Sribharat, opened the fridges on a special day called Independence Day.

Kind companies and shops helped by giving the fridges and the little stands they sit on.

Other helpers will bring fresh food every day to keep the fridges full.

The police said this is a wonderful way for everyone to be kind and take care of each other.
