India Strengthens Security Along Strategic Chicken’s Neck Corridor
The Chicken’s Neck is a narrow stretch of land that connects northeastern India with the rest of the country.
Amit Shah said the government is taking steps to protect it.
New security bases have been set up in Chopra, Kishanganj and Dhubri.
These bases are intended to help security forces work more effectively.
Shah said land was provided for building the facilities.
He also launched SSB projects costing nearly Rs 190 crore.
The projects will improve buildings and facilities for SSB personnel.
