Indian Realty PE Inflows Rebound as Offices, Data Centres Lead
Private equity investors put more money into Indian real estate in the first half of FY27 than they did in the same period a year earlier.
They invested $2.7 billion, a 23% increase.
The money went into 30 deals, and the average deal was larger than last year.
Indian investors supplied about $1.3 billion, while foreign investors supplied about $1.4 billion.
ANAROCK Capital says offices, data centres and hotels are helping attract investment.
It also says a sixth real estate investment trust listing has provided investors with another way to exit investments.
If the second half matches the same period last year, the full-year total could reach nearly $4.8 billion.
That would be the highest total in at least five years, according to the report.
Private equity investment in Indian real estate rose 23% year on year to $2.7 billion in H1 FY27, April–September 2026.
The half-year total was about 63% of the $4.3 billion invested during all of FY26.
There were 30 transactions, up from 22 a year earlier, and average deal size rose 18% to $91 million.
Domestic investors put in about $1.3 billion across 24 deals; foreign investors invested about $1.4 billion across six deals.
ANAROCK Capital said FY27 investment could approach $4.8 billion if second-half inflows match the corresponding period in FY26.
