Karnataka BJP MLAs demand minister Nagendra's resignation over scam taint
In the Indian state of Karnataka, some politicians are very upset.
A minister named B Nagendra was accused of being part of a scam, which means taking money that is not theirs.
The money belonged to a corporation that helps tribal communities.
Nagendra had to leave his job before because of this, but now he became a minister again.
The opposition politicians, called the BJP, want him to leave again.
They stopped the Assembly, where laws are made, from working.
They say a huge amount of money, 94 crore rupees, was taken.
The leader of the opposition asked why he was brought back.
The BJP says they will not let the Assembly work until he is removed.
Opposition BJP MLAs disrupted Karnataka Assembly proceedings on Monday demanding the resignation of newly inducted minister B Nagendra.
Nagendra had previously quit the Siddaramaiah Cabinet over his alleged involvement in the Valmiki corporation scam.
Leader of Opposition R Ashoka said the previous government admitted Rs 94 crore was misappropriated from the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited.
Ashoka questioned why Nagendra was removed and then re-inducted, demanding the government answer.
The BJP said it would not allow the House to function until Nagendra is sacked, during the monsoon session ending August 27.
