Muthoot Microfin Reports Higher Collections, Assets and Digital Payments
Muthoot Microfin reported that it had more money lent out than a year earlier.
It said its assets under management reached Rs 15,323 crore by September 30.
The company also gave out more loans in the second quarter than it did in the same quarter last year.
More customers made their payments, bringing collection efficiency to 98.11%.
The company’s cost of borrowing money fell below 10%.
It said digital payments made up 47% of collections, compared with 25% a year earlier.
Muthoot Microfin had 1,675 branches and 32 lakh active customers.
The figures are provisional and have not been audited.
Assets under management reached Rs 15,323 crore on September 30, up 22% year over year.
Second-quarter disbursements totalled Rs 2,900 crore, 28% above the same quarter last year.
Collection efficiency improved to 98.11%, while X-bucket collection efficiency was 99.9%, excluding advances.
The cost of funds fell to 9.93%, its first reported move into single digits.
The company had 1,675 branches, 32 lakh active customers and 47% digital collections in the quarter.
