704 children in 2 Bengal districts get their vision back
Some children in a part of India called West Bengal had trouble seeing.
Many of them were blind or could only see a little bit.
Now, special doctors and teachers helped 704 children see again.
This happened because of a school programme.
The programme is part of the government's big education plan.
It helps children who cannot see well learn to read and write.
They learn using Braille, which is a special way of reading with fingers.

Bankura had 543 children (450 with low vision and 93 blind), while Howrah had 161 children (112 with low vision and 49 blind).
The programme also provides Braille education, low-vision devices, learning materials and technology-enabled tools such as tablets.
