65-Year-Old Telangana Man Arrested for Fake Amul Milk Pouches
In Mumbai, police arrested a 65-year-old man named Ramulu Guruvaryya Bodupalli.
They say he printed fake milk packets that looked like they came from famous brands such as Amul and Gokul.
Bad people used these fake packets to sell milk that had been mixed with other things.
The man had a printing shop in Vasai East, in Mumbai, where the fake packets were made.
Police found the fake milk after raiding a place in Dahisar, where they arrested three other people.
Those three people told police about the man who supplied the fake packets.
Police say he sold each fake packet for about Rs 2.50 and printed thousands of them every month.
From 2021 to July 2026, he may have made around 20 lakh fake packets.
Police took his machines, worth about Rs 10 lakh, and are now searching for other people who bought the fake packets.
Mumbai Crime Branch arrested 65-year-old Ramulu Guruvaryya Bodupalli, a Telangana man, for allegedly supplying counterfeit Amul and Gokul milk pouches to a milk adulteration racket.
He allegedly ran a printing unit at Babubhai Shahani Compound, opposite Laxmi Industries near Waliv Phata in Vasai East, where counterfeit Amul pouches were manufactured.
The arrest followed a Dahisar raid in which adulterated milk was seized and Lingaya Bhikshamaya Ganta (42), Saidulu Yadaya Jangili (33) and Yadaya Chandraya Batulla (33) were arrested.
Bodupalli allegedly sold the fake pouches for Rs 2.50 each, printing 30,000-50,000 per month and about 20 lakh pouches between 2021 and July 2026.
Police seized machinery worth approximately Rs 10 lakh and are probing the wider network of milk adulterators who bought the counterfeit pouches.
